Dojo at CanSec


There will be a Security Masters Dojo "Advanced Honeypot Tactics" at CanSec. The course will deal with low-interaction honeypots. After an introduction to honeyd and its various use cases, the second main part will focus on bots, botnets, nepenthes, malware collection & analysis, and similar topics.

Feel free to register, some seats are still left. And today I fly to Mountain View to meet Niels, perhaps I learn some neat tricks about honeyd :-)

Last week I gave two similar talks on honeynets, one at the Center for Computing and Communication at RWTH Aachen university and the other one at CeBIT. Both talks give an overview of honeynets in general and present some results we obtained during the last year. For the results, I focussed on phishing and gave an insight into the background of this kind of attacks.
